The Speed Week at the Bonneville Salt Flats (Utah) has come to the end.
The Italian streamliner “Gus Gus” and its team, headed by the pilot Fabio Montani and holder of the speed record in 2011, came to the 2017 edition more than determined to regain the record in their category.
ZANINONI S.p.A. handled the shipment of the vehicle from Milan (Italy), wich arrived to the Bonneville Salt Flats International Speedway ready to take part in the glorious competition. During the race unfortunately the right rear tire exploded, causing serious damages to the streamliner and consequently its retreat for safety reasons. Luckily no one was injured.
Gus Gus is now on its way back to Italy, but we will surely see it racing in the next Speed Week editions. And ZANINONI S.p.A. will still be a proud sponsor of this beautiful adventure.
